In early February 2024, we spent a few days in Amsterdam—a city I truly love for its ability to slow things down. Fewer cars, more bicycles, and a rhythm of life that feels refreshingly human.

The air carried a mix of familiar café aromas (you know exactly what I mean), fresh bread from small bakeries, and the inviting warmth of cozy restaurants. Between canal walks and quiet streets, glimpses of red-lit windows reminded us of Amsterdam’s unapologetic character.

Culturally, the city delivered in every way. We visited the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the deeply moving Anne Frank House, along with a few other memorable spots.

And then there was the food—exceptional throughout. Some flavors linger longer than others, and the oysters in particular remain unforgettable. Simply delicious.
